I am planning to bring a Lap-Top(Note book) from USA to India to one of my friend. Presently I have one lap-top and if I buy to my friend, there will be two. What about the custome pay in this situation and how to proceed further?

Pay for my r/t ticket and, I could be a carrier for the laptop..

It would be an issue in India because custom will put a lot of tax on it which provably more than the cost of the laptop. Here is the deal, bring one laptop that you want to give as your personal use and declare it as personal effects, it should work, don’t bring two, they will suspect that you gonna sell it.
Why dont you ask Mumbai customs….they will tell you. Of course you can take Vovos offer and I would go along with him but you wont need to pay for my ticket as I have a free open dated AI one
I bet you really want to sell the second one and make a profit but…you know what…you can get them just as cheaply at HEERA PANA near Altamount Road…..they have all foreign things there!!
